Pressing Together – Questions to build fellowship

Would you like a non-threatening, light-hearted way to bring your family together, to use as an ice-breaker in meetings, or during Church potlucks?

The ‘Pressing Together’ question cards are specially designed to invite conversation, give opportunities to listen, acknowledge, explore, and open the door for establishing deeper relationships. In these times when it seems that we need to put a bigger effort into enjoying meaningful and fulfilling relationships, the ‘Pressing Together’ question cards offer a non-threatening way for families, team members, and classmates to get to know one another in a deeper way.

Use the ‘Pressing Together‘ question cards at dinner time, at bedtime, during Church potluck, or other social church events, giving one or two cards to someone at each table. While people are eating, or while they’re waiting, they can introduce themselves as they answer the card prompt.

For Group gatherings

Choose one card, read it out loud, and ask participants to introduce themselves if necessary, and answer the card question or prompt.

Sticky notes activity

Choose a Pressing Together card at random each day, or each week, and put it up on the wall. Ask everyone to write their reflections on a sticky note and put them around the question.
Get together and either try to guess who wrote what, or ask further questions.
